Map Making Activity

Map making activity was conducted at SWARNPRASTHA PUBLIC SCHOOL on Saturday, 27 April 2024 under the guidance of Social Science teachers, with the aim of enhancing students' spatial awareness, geographical knowledge, and creativity. It was meant for the students of Grade 6 to 8.  The activity began with an introduction to cartography, including the purpose of maps, different types of maps, and basic cartographic symbols and conventions. Students conducted research to gather information about their chosen themes or subjects, including geographical features, landmarks, and relevant data. Overall, the map-making activity was a valuable learning experience for the students, providing them with practical skills, fostering creativity, and enhancing their understanding of geography.
