Inter House English Elocution Competition Report

“Language is the blood of the soul into which thoughts run and out of which they grow."

In keeping with the resonance of the words and the aim of empowering pupils with good oratory skills, the Inter-house English Elocution Competition was held on the 21st of August 2024. The event was judged by the erudite judges, Principal, Mr. Rohit Panda and Headmaster, Mr. SP Singh. The event commenced with the elucidation of the rules. Some factors adjudged during the competition were presentation, pronunciation, articulation, expression, body language and choice of content. The competition witnessed enthusiastic preparation and participation of students. There was representation of four different houses which consisted of four fervent participants from each house. We also had an enthusiastic audience of the students from grade 6 to 8 as they watched the participants try their oratory skills. Before the declaration of the results, the audience gathered the pearls of wisdom out of the judges. The result was announced by the Principal which the audience and the participants waited with bated breath. Vishwaas House won the first position. The second position was secured by Sankalp House. Bani Sehgal of class 6, Krishaang of class 7 and Akriti Pahuja of class 8 bagged the Best Reciter’s award. All winners were extolled for creating a brilliant ambience. The event culminated with a vote of thanks.
