Happy Classroom

“Happiness is seeing the smile on a child’s face as they learn”
Swarnprastha Public School organized a full-day workshop for teachers on Happy Classrooms on Saturday, 8 July 2023 under the aegis of the CBSE Capacity Building Programme.
The workshop was conducted by Mr. Satya Chaudhary, Principal, Sofia Convent School, and Dr Shiksha, PGT Hindi, Queen’s Mary School.

The workshop commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp seeking the blessings of the Almighty following which Principal, Mr Rohit Panda welcomed the resource persons. 

The workshop was attended by 60 teachers and was divided into two modules.

The first module was conducted by Mr Satya Chaudhary wherein he suggested that teachers must deal with interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically. They need to be happy from the inside, only then would they be able to instill happiness in their students. 

The second module was conducted by Dr Shiksha wherein self-reflection through emotional self-regulation was encouraged by engaging the participants in various activities. The interactive segment saw the teachers name their respective groups based on happy emotions, introduce their group’s name, and share the inspiration or story underlying their choices in the context of the school/classroom.

The emphasis of this workshop was on creating happy classrooms and working with unbridled enthusiasm.

The workshop concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by the Principal, Mr. Rohit Panda, and a rendition of the National Anthem.
