CBSE workshop cyber safety and security

Cybersecurity is a shared responsibility

Swarnprastha Public School organized a one-day workshop for teachers on Cyber Safety and Security on 15 July 2023 under the aegis of the CBSE Capacity Building Programme.

The workshop was conducted by Dr. Jasjit Kaur Sood, Principal, OPS Vidya Mandir, Karnal, and Ms. Monika Mehan, Principal, ML Khanna DAV Public School, Delhi.

The workshop commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp seeking the blessings of the Almighty following which the Principal, Mr. Rohit Panda, Headmaster Mr. SP Singh, and Headmistress Ms. Megha Kaushik, welcomed the resource persons.

The workshop was divided into two modules and attended by 60 teachers. The first module was conducted by Dr. Jasjit Kaur Sood wherein she emphasized cyber ethics, netiquette, digital footprints, juice jacking, cyber trolling, cyber harassment, and different types of malware during the workshop.

The second module was conducted by Ms Monika Mehan wherein she explained the significance of curating positive digital footprints and shared several practical tips on privacy settings and safe practices and also provided information on how to report a cybercrime.
The workshop highlighted the importance of digital literacy and also elaborated on age-appropriate content to be used by educators to sensitize students about various cyber-related issues.

The workshop concluded with a question-answer session followed by the rendition of the National Anthem.
